Global Orientations:
We Launch and Unify Diverse Student Cohorts
Language Barriers, Different Communication Styles, Unique Ways of Living/Learning. How can university and graduate students respectfully and effectively interact in multicultural teams or living situations when challenged with unfamiliar norms and traditions?
We provide participants with the knowledge and tools to succeed in creating strong intercultural relationships by outlining differences in culturally based communication styles and building upon newly developed intercultural communication skills.
The Global Orientation program is an insightful and detailed program that unifies student groups and is particularly effective when students hail from varying parts of the world. As identified through research at Stanford University, the ability to understand and relate to cultural norms and practices is essential to creating rewarding relationships.
This interactive program will:
- Identify differences between direct and indirect communicators
- Overview the four hurdles to cross-cultural communication
- Provide exercises to build cohesion amongst the cohort

Global Graduates:
How to Successfully Interview and Prepare For the Global Job Market
Limited Positions, Fierce Competition, and School Rankings. Now more than ever is the time for graduating business students to be prepared and well versed for the global marketplace. Globally Hip provides students with the knowledge and tools to present themselves intelligently in interview situations.
In addition, we coach students on how to properly relay global awareness and intercultural competence. As evidenced in the Wall Street Journal, the ability to understand and relate to cross-cultural norms and business practices is an essential element for success in the global marketplace.
This program will help students:

We encourage leaders and those who plan a career in academia to focus on strategies to cultural competence in an increasingly diverse campus climate. As evidenced in Chief Executive Magazine's panel interviews with top academic leaders, the ability to understand and relate to cross-cultural norms and practices is an essential element for visionaries in global academia. As part of the program, we offer an optional series of follow up coaching sessions.
